Alternative Malta
Anna Galon was the only Media Studies student
on our excursion. She created an exhibit of photos which
would not be included in a tourist guide to Malta: a
single yellow flower in a desert-like landscape, an
unsteady rock formation, a poodle wearing fluorescent
blue sunglasses. Our favorite was the photo of a ferocious-looking
Great Dane dog, usually joined by his equally curious
master, gazing down on us every day from a small window
in the building next to our hotel, closely observing
our comings and goings.
In fact, there were several expert photographers among
us: Muller Manalu took digital photos for this
website, Anja Münch and Rebecca Mies
shot pictures for their CD-ROM, Matthias Merzhäuser
added to his already impressive collection of slides
which he showed at the Market, and Tim Schulte
entertained us at our excursion follow-up picnic in
Werthenbach with his unusual slides. Our thanks to all
those camera cracks!
