Malta as the European Hollywood

Gladiator, The Count of Monte Cristo, Cutthroat Island - one would connect those movies rather with Hollywood, never with Malta. But Never Say Never Again: All these movies and quite a few more were, at least partially, filmed on Malta. And that is not all: the Mediterranean Film Studios (MFS), located on Malta, host not only blockbuster movies, but also a wide range of low budget features, TV series, commercials and music videos.
