General Language Course 2a Excursion, Summer Semester 2001

Saturday, 26 May:

Festive atmosphere in Dublin on Saturday, with street markets and bustling pedestrian zones. Visits to the Dublin Castle, the Jameson Distillery, Greene's bookshop, the Custom House, the National Gallery of Art, the impressive Custom House, Oscar Wilde's home, cathedral concerts were on various agendas. One group took an all-day outing to the Wicklow Mountains and returned with stories of numerous adventures. The excursioners couldn't resist returning to O'Donoghue's for more live music, including rousing renditions of "The Wild Rover," which became the excursion 'theme song'!
