How to Feel Maltese

The Maltese Market was a big project undertaken by the students of English to present their projects on Malta. Some groups made posters with explanations and pictures about their research, others were more active by performing something or doing tasks. Our group was responsible for an interesting topic: "Who are the real Maltese?" We tried to answer the question by gthering information from the internet, books and articles. We made two posters. One of them explained the origin of the Maltese, the other reflected their characteristics by providing colourful pictures. We even made a sculpture of a ferocious Neolithic Maltese warrior crouching down and holding a sword!

And since the people of Malta like having a festa and singing along, we decided to sing together at the Maltese Market. Along with Matthias and the audience, we sang the excursion theme song, Maltese Calypso, and with help from Achim we crooned several Beatles' songs. We and the audience were so enthusiastic that the library had to ask us to sing less loudly! Too bad those students working in the library didn't join us, because on the whole we were delighted and satisfied with our performance.
