Feeling Good on a Thursday Afternoon
As the day of the Maltese Market 2002 came nearer, I was
a bit worried that our group, which was to perform a Maltese
puppet show, would not manage to get everything ready in time.
On the morning of the Market we were actually doing our last
preparations and had only really practised once, but I could
see that others were running around busily, too. That made
me feel better and I started to look forward to the afternoon.
Since our two performances offered enough time inbetween I
had many oportunities to look around and enjoy the attractions
at the Market. Everyone seemed pleased and the atmosphere
was good. I enjoyed listening and singing with the music group,
which was very amusing. I also tried some Maltese food and
drink at the café and then it was time for our next
performance. Although many people were now watching the football
match, there was a small audience waiting for us to perform.
Some children were among the audience and it was nice to see
that they watched attentively even though the show was in
English. I must say that I had a pleasant and even exciting
afternoon at the Maltese Market!
