Identify the location. (You may need some local help!)
A tricky language question: What's the significance of the name "The Snug"?

2. Make your way northwards along this street (i.e. towards the River Liffey). What's its name.? Describe the buildings and businesses you see. What products/services are offered here? Give a few examples (with prices!). Describe the appearance, smells and sounds of the street..

3. What's the Guinness connection with a classy-looking Victorian building in this street?
What's the Tivoli ? What did it use to be? What's on at the moment?

4. After the Tivoli, take the next right and make your way to the "newer" of Dublin's two cathedrals. How "new" is it? What is its name?

5. What disaster struck here in 1562? Where were bargains literally "struck"? Explain! (Anyone remember the video?!) Who left his heart here? Where exactly?

6. Whose wild chase came to an unfortunate end here? Where exactly? Where can their mortal remains be viewed?

7. Bring back a souvenir of your rally. Explain your choice.

Where exactly? · Roof collapsed 1562, south arcade destroyed; · At the tomb of Strongbow, where business deals were concluded by striking a coin on the tomb; · St Laurence O'Toole's heart is contained in a casket on the wall in the Chapel of St Laud.


6. Whose wild chase came to an unfortunate end here? Where exactly? Where can their mortal remains be viewed? · A cat chased a mouse into an organ pipe, where they both got stuck and were mummified; discovered during restoration; now displayed in glass case.
