Camera Eye: Oscars for "Maltese Calypso"!

Armed with a digital camera and tripod from the University of Siegen Media Centre, Rabea Bräuer and Achim Hartmann explored Malta from a movie-maker's perspective. They captured on film not only the sight-seeing highlights but also the atmosphere of the excursion and the interaction among the participants. The filming was strenuous enough, but the real work began when they returned to Siegen and attempted to edit five film cassettes. Ably assisted by specialist Stephan Schopp and the MZ's state-of-the-art computer equipment, Rabea and Achim produced an excellent 50-minute movie complete with lively sound track. The film was completed just in time to be a major attraction at the Maltese Market!
