We were certainly looking forward to discovering the Viking heritage during our excursion to York. Evidence of the Vikings was everywhere: street names, museums, logos, costumed street vendors. The visit to the main “Jorvik Centre” was worthwhile, but, strangely enough, we had more fun at the new “Viking Dig”, which is aimed mainly at school children.
