One of my highlights of Yorkshire was our day trip to Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. Whitby Abbey is one of the most beautiful abbeys I have ever seen and it was really interesting to imagine what it looked like in past centuries, before becoming a ruin.

The town of Whitby was well worth visiting, too. I liked its little shops and streets and its location by the sea. Of course, we had to taste the original fish ’n’ chips in a little restaurant at the harbour. It was really delicious. The trip to Robin Hood’s Bay in the evening was a good idea to conclude the outing. It is a very beautiful place and I enjoyed it very much!
