The University of York

by Nina Keil

My favourite highlight of the excursion to Yorkshire is the University of York. I have never seen such a beautiful university and I am convinced that every student in York is very happy to study there. From my point of view, the most important point is that the University of York does not really look like a university. It seems to be an expensive private school or a park where businessmen spend their holidays. Around the University you can find a lot of green with little lakes and beautiful small garden houses. Obviously the architects of the University attached importance to a learning atmosphere surrounded by nature, and that is why you can also find many animals such as ducks, swans, rabbits and squirrels in the parks. The grass is very well cultivated and in addition to that there are many beautiful and coloured flowers. When the sun is shining you can sit down on one of the many seats or lie down on the soft grass and watch the lucky ducks picking in the ground.

I enjoyed the trip to the University of York so much that I plan to spend a whole semester in York. Hopefully it will work!
