What I liked best in York was the archaeological fieldwork in the DIG, where we went with our Viking heritage group. It was surprisingly interesting, although we kept finding fake bones and artifacts every two centimetres under a five-centimetre layer of “rubber rocks” – strange. But after that we had a really good conversation with our guide. He had encyclopedic knowledge about the Vikings and was a real help with our project work (and the York-Quiz…) ! |
