My highlight of the Yorkshire excursion was the trip on the Yorkshire Wheel. I had already been to York several times in 2004 and 2005. Therefore the Yorkshire Wheel gave me the chance to see York as I’ve never seen it before because it only just opened to the public in April 2006. The Wheel raised us 60 metres above the ground (it’s almost as high as the Minster) and took us round four times. We enjoyed an excellent view across the city and the surrounding area during the 15-minute ride. I can only recommend it to York tourists – it’s really worth a visit.
