Actually I don’t know where to start because the whole excursion was a highlight! But I think the greatest highlight was the people I spent most of the time with. Although I almost didn’t know anyone of them before the excursion, we had a wonderful time together. I really enjoyed getting to know York and its many beautiful sights with them, walking around until our feet hurt. There were so many nice places to discover, which makes it impossible to concentrate on only one highlight (I would love to mention the Evensong, the York Dungeon, the Evil Eye Lounge, the Ghost Walk and many other things, too). But I also loved the evenings we spent in our kitchen talking, watching Brokeback Mountain or cooking delicious meals. Concerning the places we visited in Yorkshire, Whitby and its shore were definitely the best. The views of Whitby and the coastal landscape were really beautiful and I enjoyed walking along the beach barefoot, feeling the sand and the water of the sea under my feet. Finally, watching Madagascar on the ferry was a perfect ending to a perfect excursion which I would always do again!
