Our excursion-time was great; anyone who has a different opinion went on another excursion… During the first half of the trip we were so busy trying to win the Yorkshire Quiz that we had no time left for shopping or having parties. *LOL* Early every morning we took the purple bus to the city, trying to find some “natives” who would like to help us answer the York questions. After asking two nice old Yorkshire ladies who had no clue about their hometown, we met this cute old grandpa. He had such a competent look, so we asked him to help us with that “really difficult” questionnaire. :-) He was so helpful and answered the questions one by one. Sitting there on the well, right next to the Jorvik Centre, we were happy to have most of the questions done. We talked to him for a while, thanked him for being such a help and moved on –FINALLY to conquer the shopping malls. A couple of days later Phil asked the group to present the results of the Yorkshire quiz. Everyone there sitting at Bolton Abbey could give some good answers – everyone, except us – we had spent all that time filling out the questionnaire just to realize that all the answers the old Native gave us were totally wrong! :-) |
