To preface my personal highlight
of the excursion, I need to remark that I share it with two frank and
open-hearted people whom I didn’t know before but whom I do really
appreciate as good friends now.
On Thursday evening we started having supper in my room together (‘Fünf-Minuten-Terrine’)
and ended up in a cheerful discussion about several topics which unexpectedly
turned into real fun afterwards.
Originally I had wanted to go to the University’s bar to watch soccer
after having finished the meal, but all of us really enjoyed the unrestrained
atmosphere and we just had to follow Hanno’s enthusiastic speech
attentively. He entertained us incomparably! In fact, this was actually
the best fun we had on this well-organised and enlightening excursion.
Therefore I dedicate this short essay to Susan and Hanno (who are fine
persons) and declare our ‘soup party’ as my unexpected highlight
of the Wales excursion.
