astonishing school visit |
My individual highlight of the excursion was the school visit. Not only the fantastic and impressive building, equipment and dimensions, but also the hospitality that was offered to us by teachers, pupils and the headmaster amazed me. I hadn't expected to be received that cordially. The thing that astonished me most was one of the pupils of grade 12 leading us through "his" school. We were able to ask him detailed questions we would perhaps not have asked the headmaster or one of the teachers. The walk around the campus turned out to be informative and amusing. We put our own focus on how pupils live at this school and what their everyday life looks like in comparison to a German pupil in 12th grade. And I will never forget my very first impression of the assembly hall. It really looked like the one in "Dead Poet's Society" or "Harry Potter"!
