best-preserved and most-visited

My highlight in Bath was definitely the one-day internship at the Roman Baths which are approx. 2000 years old and the best-preserved baths and temple complex in Northern Europe.
I met Patricia Dunlop, Commercial Manager/Heritage Services, and helped her prepare a contract meeting at the Pump Room. We evaluated data from the audioguides (they give an overview of the different attractions at the Roman Baths, e.g. the Temple of Sulis Minerva, bath house and Goddess of the thermal spring) and prepared handouts for the other participants of the meeting.
Then I had the opportunity to participate in the contract meeting with members of the Heritage Services and the company Acoustiguide. After having lunch (very delicious…!) I was asked to look around the Baths and to compare the German and English translations of the audioguides and to help distributing them to the tourists. It was really interesting and fun, and the staff were very friendly; especially the guide James who knows everything about the Roman Baths and their history!
It was a really nice day at the Roman Baths and I appreciated gaining an insight into the organisation, management and everyday work of the most-visited attraction in Bath!
