evening at the Theatre Royal

One of my highlights was the play The importance of being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. We went with about eight people to the Theatre Royal on Thursday night. The theatre building itself was quite a sight with all the boxes and balconies, mirrors and ornaments. The TV actress Penelope Keith had the role of Lady Bracknell and people seemed to be really excited about that, which additionally created a good atmosphere. (I did not know her before that.)
The play is a funny and really entertaining story about mistaken identities and frustrated romance. Also, I liked the costumes and the scenery. Everybody who came along said that it was great and everyone who didn’t join us really missed out on an awesome highlight.
