double highlight: Stonehenge and Exmoor

We spent a wonderful week in Bath. It is a beautiful town, which is rightfully a World Heritage City. The Roman Baths and the Abbey are especially impressive.
However, for me there were two personal highlights and I am not able to decide which one was better.
Firstly, the afternoon at Stonehenge was amazing. It was an indescribable feeling to stand in the Inner Circle and touch the stones. I am still fascinated by the questions why the stones are there and how they came there. These huge stones have something very special. It is a kind of mystic place. Furthermore, the Stonehenge project group did a very good job of explaining everything to us.
Secondly, the Exmoor National Park is very fascinating. It is probably one of the most idyllic landscapes I have ever seen. The hills have beautiful pasturelands with wild horses and sheep. The panorama of the sea was thrilling. If I have the chance to go there again, I will take it and I can certainly recommend this region to everyone.
Although Stonehenge is expensive, both places are well worth visiting.
